Blue Planet Review

My name is Peter. I’m from Minnesota and I live in Chicago with my husband. Our home is filled with fabric, art supplies, and many, many books.

I’m primarily using this site as a living document to record the books I read and love. Global literature excites me in a way few other things do. During a happy moment in my life (at a sales job of all places), I would spend my day browsing a website by Veronica Scott Esposito called “The Quarterly Conversation” - a website filled with fascinating articles about authors from around the world. During my lunch break, I visited a quaint used bookstore called Amaranth Books that was unusually well-stocked with the titles I was seeking. During that time, I read nearly 200 books.

Although the Quarterly Conversation has been relegated to the Internet Archive, I’m hoping to replicate the joy that site brought me through informative web pages that document the web of connections between books.

All posts represent the opinions of the author (me!) While I do my best to verify the accuracy of the information in these posts, I am an amateur rather than a scholar. This space is intended solely for a love of learning and sharing.
